Who are your favorite people to be around?
If you ask me who my favorite people to be around are, the answer is easy: my kids… and especially my granddaughter.
My granddaughter is six months old and already runs the show. She’s the happiest, cutest little human I’ve ever seen (and yes, I may be slightly biased). She has this magical ability to brighten even the most exhausting day with one gummy smile. Watching her grow, learn, and discover the world is absolutely amazing. One minute she’s tiny and sleepy, and the next she’s rolling over like she’s training for the Baby Olympics.
Then there are my kids — 21 and 18. My daughter, the 21-year-old, is the proud mama of that sweet baby girl. Watching her step into motherhood has been incredible. She’s doing such a great job, even if we’re both learning as we go.
My 18-year-old son keeps life interesting in his own way. Between the two of them, they definitely keep me on my toes. They drive me nuts sometimes — as children do, no matter how old they get — but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
So yes, my favorite people are the ones who make me laugh, test my patience, fill my house with noise, and completely steal my heart. They are also the reason I require a steady supply of coffee. Lots of coffee. Because keeping up with an 18-year-old, a 21-year-old, and a six-month-old is basically an Olympic sport — and I am competing daily. ☕️
But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
